Wow.

So about a month ago I finished up a video and submitted it to a contest.  I worked on it for quite a while and was so relieved when it was finished.  I had a little bit of confidence in my skills, but was trying not to really think about it.

Anyway, my phone buzzed today about 2:30pm.  I thought, who is calling me, nobody calls me at 2:30….I picked it up and it was Lou from the DBSA calling to let me know that I won 2nd place.

Wow.  Stunned and excited.  Those were the only two words I could come up with in the moment when I texted my husband to tell him.

Wow.

Anyway…the videos won’t be posted on the DBSA Facing Us website until after the new year, so I wanted to share it here for the few people that read my blog.  :)

The contest was sponsored by the Depression Bipolar Support Alliance and is only open to people willingly to identify as living with a mood disorder.

Here is the contest theme:

What does recovery mean to you? This year’s contest will focus on the personal journey each of us must travel while living with depression or bipolar disorder—and the ups and downs that lead to recovery.

Here is my video submission:

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
